NTUC LinkPoints Loyalty programme

This is a mileage programme of NTUC Link Pte Ltd where Lim & Tan Securities Pte Ltd is a participating LinkPoints merchant. limtan.com.sg investors who are also LinkPoints members can earn LinkPoints when they buy and sell shares listed on SGX through the Online Trading system.

Anybody who is both a limtan.com.sg client and a valid NTUC, NTUC Plus, max or Fairprice Plus cardholder.

You may contact the Online Trading HelpDesk at tel: 6799 8188 or email: online@limtan.com.sg for an NTUC Union membership application form. You can also approach NTUC Membership department directly to obtain the membership application form at 6213 8008.

Award of LinkPoints

Q5:
How many LinkPoints will I be awarded upon a successful trade? Back to top
 
For every $1 commission paid, 5 LinkPoints will be awarded.

For example,
Total trade value   = $40,000 (Quantity x Price)
Commission paid   = $40,000 * 0.28%
  = $112
LinkPoints awarded   = 560

How do I collect my LinkPoints? Back to top
 
LinkPoints earned will be updated and reflected via LinkPoints Online Rewards website, www.linkpoints.com.sg 2 working days after the trade.

Please note that the awarding and redemption of LinkPoints is only applicable to limtan.com.sg Online Trading accounts registered under the NTUC LinkPoints Programme.

Where can I view my LinkPoints balance? Back to top
 
You may logon to LinkPoints website at www.linkpoints.com.sg to view your LinkPoints balance.


Q8:
Are the LinkPoints transferable? Back to top
 
No, they are not. The NTUC, NTUC plus, max or Fairprice Plus card must belong to limtan.com.sg Online Trading account holder.

Expiry of LinkPoints

Q9:
When will my LinkPoints expire? Back to top
 
LinkPoints earned in a calendar year will expire on the 31 Dec of the same year. However, cardholders are given an additional 6 months grace period to redeem their points. LinkPoints not redeemed after the grace period will be expired.


Q10: What can I redeem using the LinkPoints? Back to top
 
You may use your LinkPoints to offset for your payments due to Lim & Tan Securities Pte Ltd.
LinkPoints redeemed can only be used to offset against a CURRENT outstanding contract or contra statement.

a. For redemptions against BUY contracts/contra loss, you may utilize all your available LinkPoints up to the amount of the buy contract/contra loss.

b. For redemptions against SELL contracts, LinkPoints redeemed can only be used to offset against your brokerage.

Please ensure the following:

a. Payment for the remaining amount of your outstanding positions is received by Lim Tan Securities Pte Ltd not
later than T+3 trade day.

b. The correct points and contract nos./contra statements have been provided. Upon submission, your redemption will be considered as confirmed and will be processed accordingly.

Please note that LinkPoints redeemed cannot be used to offset for your payments against SRS and CPF contracts.


Q11: What is the minimum number of LinkPoints to redeem?

Minimum redemption is 3,750 LinkPoints.

For every 3,750 LinkPoints, the equivalent value for redemption at limtan.com.sg will be $25.

Q12: Where can I redeem them? Back to top
 
You may log-on to LinkPoints website at www.linkpoints.com.sg to redeem your LinkPoints or you can also access to LinkPoints Online Rewards website through www.limtan.com.sg . Please go to Q15 for the user guide.

 

Q13: Is there an enhanced benefit for redeeming at limtan.com.sg ?

Yes. If you choose to redeem your LinkPoints accumulated through limtan.com.sg , you will be awarded an additional 50% bonus LinkPoints. Awarding of additional 50% bonus LinkPoints is subject to the availability of LinkPoints accumulated through limtan.com.sg which have not been used to generate the bonus LinkPoints.

Crediting of the additional 50% bonus LinkPoints will be done the next working day after the redemption is effected.

Using the example of 560 LinkPoints awarded by limtan.com.sg in Q5 above, if you redeem 560 LinkPoints at limtan.com.sg, you will earn an additional 280 LinkPoints.


Q14: Is there a cut-off time for redemption?

Redemption effected on a trading day before 5pm will be processed by the next working day.
Redemption effected after 5pm will be considered the next trading day's transaction.


Q15: How can I redeem the LinkPoints earned via limtan.com.sg ? Back to top
 
You may do an online redemption via limtan.com.sg . Click on "Loyalty". You will then be brought to the LinkPoints Online Rewards website.

Please take note that the redemption of any items in Online Rewards is subject to NTUC Link Pte Ltd prevailing terms and conditions governing the NTUC LinkPoints Programme. Kindly ensure that you have read through the Terms & Conditions and FAQ before proceeding.


Q16: What are the definitions?

  • Client code - This will be your Login ID or 7 digits Online Account no.
    NOTE: Redemption is only applicable for Online Trading accounts.

  • Contract No./ Contra Statement - Contract no./Contra Statement is the contract generated the next working day after your transaction/contra position has been fulfilled. For example, the contract number for your purchase should be 123456/001. The contra statement should be 0654321.
    You may find them at our website, www. limtan.com.sg under "Accounts Management", "Outstanding Positions".

  • Points to Redeem - this is the number of LinkPoints that you wish to redeem. You may use the limtan.com.sg NTUC LinkPoints calculator below to check the LinkPoints conversion value.

Q17: What happens after I have completed my redemption?

You will receive an email confirmation from NTUC Link if you have provided them with your email address.

Please note that under REWARDS FAQ, all redemption effected is not refundable nor exchangeable for cash, LinkPoints or another reward. Hence, you are encouraged to make your selection carefully.

*NOTE: For redemption with Lim & Tan Securities, the dollar value of the LinkPoints can only be redeemed against a CURRENT outstanding contract or contra statement.

Lim & Tan Securities Pte Ltd reserves the right to reject any redemption effected if the account holder is classified under delinquent or disputed status or any information provided is not correct or incomplete. Terms & Conditions apply.


Switching between Programmes
