1. What is this programme about? Back to top

Online Trading clients of Lim & Tan Securities have an option to earn either Reward Points or LinkPoints when they buy or sell shares through the Online Trading or Voice-Activated-Share-Trading (VAST) platform. Clients can only be enrolled into one loyalty programme at any time. Upon account opening, all Online Trading accounts are enrolled for Reward Points unless otherwise indicated by submission of U, UPlus, Max or FairPrice Plus card. (Only applicable to primary cardholder)

Any Online Trading client can choose to earn Reward Points. Only U, UPlus, Max or FairPrice Plus cardholders are eligible to earn LinkPoints. (Only applicable to primary cardholder)



3. Are there accounts which are not eligible for this programme? Back to top

Specific type of accounts, such as Margin Accounts with longer Interest Free Option and CFD Accounts will not be eligible

The Reward Points programme is a loyalty programme offered by limtan.com.sg for Online Trading clients only. The LinkPoints loyalty programme is offered by limtan.com.sg with U, UPlus, Max or FairPrice Plus cardholders only. (Only applicable to primary cardholder)


5. How can I switch to earn LinkPoints? Back to top

To switch to earning LinkPoints, print and complete the 'Reward Conversion Form' and send it back to us via Fax: 6538 7730 or mail to:

Please note that all your Reward Points will be converted to LinkPoints.

6. How can I switch to earn Reward Points? Back to top

To switch to earn Reward Points, print and complete the 'Reward Conversion Form' and send it back to us via Fax: 6538 7730 or mail to:

Please note that your existing LinkPoints will not be converted to Reward Points.

7. How many points am I awarded for each successful trade? Back to top

One Reward Point will be awarded for each dollar of brokerage paid to Lim & Tan Securities. Five LinkPoints will be awarded for each dollar of brokerage paid to Lim & Tan Securities.

Lim & Tan Securities reserves the right to reject any awarding of Reward Points or LinkPoints if the account holder is classified under delinquent or disputed status or any information provided is not correct or incomplete. The same also applies for Redemption of Reward Points or LinkPoints.

If the Online Trading account is terminated at any time for any reason by Lim & Tan Securities Pte Ltd or by the Account holder, the Online Trading account shall NOT be eligible for the limtan loyalty rewards programme. All unused limtan reward points accumulated shall automatically be expired and will not be available for use by the Account holder.


8. How many points will be deducted for each "Force Order"? Back to top

This is when the "Force" option is selected in the Place Order screen. 4 Reward Points or 20 LinkPoints (depending on the programme enrolled) will be deducted once the option is selected. This is regardless of whether the order is eventually fulfilled. This option is subject to availability of points.


9. When will my points expire? Back to top

Reward Points have a three year expiry date from the date of issue. The expiry is based on a calendar quarter basis (i.e. March, June, September, December). LinkPoints earned will be expired at the end of the same year. Currently, NTUCLink is giving a six months grace period after the end of the same year for Cardholders to utilize the expiring points.

limtan Reward Points allow you to redeem useful services that will enhance your trading experiences. With limtan reward points, you can easily make payment for contracts, redeem for SGX market depth, SMS alerts or services offered by our business partners.

LinkPoints Programme by NTUC Link offers LinkPoints members exciting rewards and promotions. With LinkPoints, you can now offset your brokerage payments with limtan.com.sg, as well as redeem many other products from LinkPoints merchants or through LinkPoints Online Rewards.

Note: Redemptions for brokerage payments are only applicable for current outstanding or contra contracts only.

  • For redemptions against BUY contracts/contra loss, you may utilize all your available points up to the amount of the buy contract/contra loss.

  • For redemptions against SELL contracts, points redeemed can only be used to offset against your brokerage.


11. How do I make a redemption? Back to top

To make a redemption, click on “Loyalty” on the navigation menu. Depending on the loyalty programme you are currently enrolled, you will either see the LinkPoints redemption login or Reward Points redemption items.

12. Is there a cut-off time for redemption? Back to top

For Reward Points, redemptions for SMS Alerts and Streaming Market Depth are effective immediately. For contract redemption, the redemption will be processed within two working days. All other redemptions will be done on a monthly basis.

For LinkPoints, redemptions for limtan services will be processed within two working days after submission through LinkPoints redemption website.
