The Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) issued a press release on stopping the use of National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) numbers as passwords in the private sector on 26 June 2025. A joint advisory against using NRIC numbers for authentication was also issued by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) on the same day.
As such, in line with the security guideline, the following changes will be made to our Online Trading system.
(1) Request for Electronic Password
(2) Change/Update of Password
Full or partial use of NRIC/Passport number will not be allowed.
(3) Change/Update of Login ID
Full or partial use of NRIC/Passport number will not be allowed.
