Rewards Programme FAQ (limtan reward points, E-Vouchers, Redemption)

Online Trading clients of Lim & Tan Securities can earn limtan Reward Points when they buy or sell shares through the Online Trading platform. Upon account opening, all Online Trading accounts are enrolled for limtan Reward Points.

Any Online Trading client can earn limtan Reward Points.

Yes, Advisory Accounts and Margin Accounts with longer Interest Free Option as well as trades placed by Trading Representatives will not be eligible for this programme.

limtan Reward Points are non-transferable.

1 Reward Point will be awarded for each dollar of brokerage paid to Lim & Tan Securities.

Lim & Tan Securities reserves the right to reject any awarding of limtan Reward Points if the account holder is classified under delinquent or disputed status or any information provided is not correct or incomplete. The same also applies for Redemption of limtan Reward Points.

If the Online Trading account is terminated at any time for any reason by Lim & Tan Securities Pte Ltd or by the Account holder, the Online Trading account shall NOT be eligible for the limtan loyalty rewards programme. All unused limtan Reward Points accumulated shall automatically be expired and will not be available for use by the Account holder.

This is when the "Force" option is selected in the Place Order screen. 4 Reward Points will be deducted once the option is selected. This is regardless of whether the order is eventually fulfilled. This option is subject to availability of points.

limtan Reward Points will expire three years from the date of issue. The expiry is based on a calendar quarter basis (e.g. limtan Reward Points awarded in months of July, August and September 2018 will expire at the end of September 2021).

Limtan e-voucher allows you to use as payment for current outstanding and contra contracts for up to T+2 and 7 calendar days respectively.

Yes. You can use multiple limtan e-vouchers for one contract.

Note: Redemptions for brokerage payments are only applicable for current outstanding or contra contracts.

The validity period of the limtan e-vouchers is 3 months from date of issue.

The limtan e-vouchers are non-transferable, nor exchangeable for cash and must be redeemed in full.

limtan Reward Programme allows you to redeem useful services that will enhance your trading experiences. With limtan Reward Points, you can easily make payment for contracts, redeem for SGX market depth, SMS alerts or services offered by our business partners.

You can also convert your limtan Reward Points to cash on our Redemption Catalogue. After redemption of points to cash value, the amounts will be credited to the SGD trust account within 2 working days.

Yes. You can make payment for contracts using both limtan e-vouchers and limtan reward points.

Redemptions for SMS Alert, Streaming Market Depth and US live prices are effective immediately. US live prices for HK and Australian live prices will be processed within one working day. Contract redemptions and Redemption of points to cash value will be processed within two working days. All other redemptions will be done on a weekly or monthly basis.

Redemption is available via limtan.com.sg and mobile channels (iPhone, iPad and Android) upon login. To make a redemption, click on "Loyalty" on the navigation menu. A selection of rewards item awaits you.

To offset against brokerage payments for current outstanding or contra contracts, please refer to Qn 5-8 for the respective user guide.

For contract redemption, select "Loyalty" followed by "limtan.com.sg contract redemption" from the menu selection under "Redemption Catalogue".

Select the Online Trading A/C No and choose the outstanding cash contracts listed on the "Contract No". You can choose to redeem with your limtan reward points, limtan e-vouchers or a mixture of both. Upon confirmation, click on "Redeem Now".

For redemption of limtan e-vouchers or mixture of both, select the limtan e-voucher and/or input the number of points you wish to redeem. Upon confirmation, click on "OK".
